One of the highlights of Spa Francorchamps Revival is the opportunity for fans of automobiles that have left their mark on history to enjoy a feast for the eyes and ears! Scheduled for Friday, April 11, Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13, the third installment of the Jean-Pol Piron and Alain Degen organization will include a Shelby Village featuring a number of jewels from the saga of Shelby American Inc. a company founded by a certain Carroll Shelby at the dawn of the '60s!

Gentleman Car, the official Shelby importer, will be on hand, giving Spa Francorchamps Revival participants and the public the chance to discover or rediscover the FIA-standard Shelby Cobra 289 in its 1964 Targa Florio livery, a 7-liter Shelby Cobra 427 in official colors, a Shelby Cobra Daytona CSX 9000 in aluminum, celebrating Shelby American's title in the 1965 Marques World Championship, a Shelby CSGT40 MkII in its Le Mans '66 configuration, identical to that of legendary Sarthe winners Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon, plus the 1966 Ford F250 pickup, Gentleman Car's mascot, and Carroll Shelby's personal motorhome, which can be visited on request!

Gentleman Car, based in Melen-Soumagne, was chosen by Shelby American to import and distribute the brand's products in Europe, which means that the various Shelbys on display at Spa Francorchamps Revival are the only ones built by hand in the purest respect for tradition.

To 'compete' with these Cobras, Spa Francorchamps Revival will be presenting another icon of sixties sports cars: the Cheetah designed by 'Bill' Thomas. A look reminiscent of Carroll Shelby's productions, a 520 hp Corvette V8 for 750 kilos, but production capped at around twenty cars between 1963 and 1965. A rarity to be discovered or rediscovered...

So, for three days in the heart of Spa, several aspects of the history of American sports cars will be on display. Don't miss it!
